Our Impact
We aren’t just solving today's crisis; we are building a foundation for lasting change. Our goal is to ensure that families in Mityana are strengthened, protected, and kept together.
Our 2020-2025 Impact

We have trained a dedicated frontline of volunteers equipped to respond to families in crisis. These are the eyes and ears of our communities, ensuring that the first response to a family in trouble is support, not separation.

Raising a child with disabilities requires extraordinary strength. We have trained 6 Famiies on child rights, protection, and inclusive parenting, providing them with the skills to ensure their children thrive at home.

We are also proud that 23 children are currently in school, building a brighter future. We would like to start an initiative where young leaders serve as “Wellbeing Champions,” offering peer support to help others heal and navigate life after institutional care.

Healing is a journey best walked with those who understand. We’ve trained 10 young leaders to serve as "Wellbeing Champions," providing peer-to-peer mental health support and guidance to youth navigating the challenges of life after institutional care.

Help us make "the street" a memory and "home" a reality.
Your gift is the bridge that brings a child from the isolation of the streets back into the arms of a family. By supporting Grateful, you aren't just funding a bed; you are investing in the protection, healing, and reunification of Uganda’s children. Join us in ensuring every child in Mityana is safe, loved, and exactly where they belong: at home.
